Graduating Magna Cum Laude, from Mississippi Valley State University, Attorney Thompson attained his Bachelors and Masters of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. Striving to give back, Attorney Thompson then became a Juvenile Correctional Counselor with the Agency for Family and Youth Development in Memphis, TN. Subsequently, Attorney Thompson became a Law Enforcement Officer with the City of Memphis Police Department. After witnessing firsthand some of the many injustices and human error in the criminal justice system, Attorney Thompson decided to make his way to Florida in order to attend law school. After obtaining his Juris Doctor degree from Florida A&M University College of Law, he sought to train young professionals as the Lead Criminal Justice Professor at Florida Technical College during the evenings while simultaneously working as an Assistant Public Defender for the Ninth Judicial Circuit during the day.
